May

Extremely Flat TT

OCONTO, WISC. – With a little more than 150 feet of climbing over 22 miles the Extremely Flat TT is … extremely flat.

Matt Becker took the overall Men’s Division win followed by Nate Phelps in 5th.

In the Women’s race, Julie Phelps scored the win followed by Ava Paruleski in second. It was Paruleski’s competitive TT debut.

Sussex Criterium

SUSSEX, WISC. – With summer rolling in, Wisconsin’s crit season is reaching the mid point of the season (If you count Tour of America’s Dairyland).

Mary Kremer made her crit racing debut Saturday alongside Emily Marenger and Jaime LeCapitaine in the Women’s Cat. 4/5 race.

The day ended with Marenger in 5th; Kremer in 6th, and LeCapitaine in 9th.

Quad Cities Regional Senior Games

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS – What better way to start a weekend than Friday racing .

Matt Hall scored the win from a early break in the 20K road race. He paired that with a second-place finish in the 10K TT.

He then had a hankering for dinner at Denny’s.

Coulee Crusher Gravel Race

LA CRESENT, MINN. – The driftless region of Minnesota was the backdrop to first stop on the new WORS gravel race series.

Matt Hall rode to a 20th-place overall finish in the 54-mile race with more than 4,000 feet of climbing.

Mad City Bike Jam

MADISON, SOUTH DAKOTA – Wait, there’s a Madison, South Dakota?

Matt Christiaansen rolled in the Mad Town Bike Jam gravel race Saunday and nabbed an 8th-place overall finish in the 50ish-mile race.

WORS #3 (La Crosse/ORA Trails Fest)

LA CROSSE, WISC. – Riders rolled into southwest Wisconsin for two-days of gavel (see above) and mountain bike races.

Derek Moran wrapped up the weekend’s events with a second-place age group finish in the Sport division of the cross-country MTB race.

Tuesday Night Track Racing (May 19)

KENOSHA, WISC. – Ken Munson kicked off his 2026 track racing schedule May 19. It was also the first night on a new track bike.

He finished second in the six-lap points race in Cat. 5. He followed that up a third-place finish in the scratch race and a not-last-place finish in the 15-lap temp race.

Wisconsin State Criterium

MEQUON, WISC. – It was a solid day of racing for GVR riders at the Wisconsin State Crit at Concordia College near Milwaukee on May 16.

Daniel Morell made his GVR racing debut in the Masters 35+ 4/5 division finishing 4th overall after a late-race crash. It was good enough to earn him a 3rd-place finish amongst Wisconsin riders. Nate Phelps finished 4th in the Masters 50+ Cat. 4/5 race, also good for a 3rd-place Wisconsin finish.

In the open Cat. 4/5 race, Daniel Morell finished 8th followed by Archer Munson in 19th and Nate Phelps in 22nd.

Archer Munson doubled up into the Cat. 3/4 race where he finished 23rd.

Jaime LeCapitaine launched her crit racing career with a solid 8th-place finish in the Women’s Cat. 4/5 race.

Calvin’s Challenge

SPRINGFIELD, OHIO – It was a 12-hour day — solo — on the bike for Sharon Bauch at the endurance road races at Clavin’s Challenge May 16.

She pounded out 173 over half a day, battling wind and rain, to finish 3rd for women in the non-drafting race.

WORS #2 (Englewood Open)

FALL RIVER, WISC. – It’s back-to-back race weekends for the WORS Series of mountain bike races.

Riders rolled into a beef-farm-turned-racing-venue for the second event in as many weeks.

Rebecca Downs made her 2026 season racing debut with a 9th-place age group finish in the Citizens Women’s division.

In Sport racing, Joseph McCrary nabbed a 4th-place age group finish while Derek Moran was 6th in his bracket.

Branden Downs rounded out the day’s racing with a 4th-place age group finish in the Comp division.

Muskego Park Criterium

MUSKEGO, WISC. – It was a fast start to Mother’s Day weekend for Tracy Peters at the Muskego Park Crit near Milwaukee.

She launched a late, uphill, attack to score the win in the Women’s 35+ race.

It’s her second win of the road season.

Snacking Bear 60 and Climbing Cub 25 (singlespeed)

CABLE, WISC. – Spring gravel racing rolled on May 9 in northwest Wisconsin with Nelsen Wahlstrom and Jeremy Pomeroy hitting up the family of Hungry Bear 100 races.

In the Snacking Bear 60-mile race, Wahlstrom finished 5th overall which was good for second in his age group.

Pomeroy nabbed an age group in (8th overall) riding a singlespeed in the Climbing Cub 25 mile race.

The Bear 100; Granny’s Gravel Grinder; Cheesehead Roubaix

WISCONSIN AND MINNESOTA – It was all about gravel and dirt this weekend, with some tarmac chucked in for good measure.

At the Bear 100 in Laona, Wisconsin, Diane Callaway scored a third-place age group finish in the 61-mile race. Morgan Fisher started her season with a 7th-place age group finish in the 31-mile event.

Jon Lester finished 51st overall in the men’s 61-mile race followed by Robert Sorenson in 122nd and Bob Callaway in 123rd.

Joseph McCrary was the sole team rider in the 103-mile race. He finished in 31st.

Matt Christiaansen lined up for the 56-mile Granny’s Gravel Grinder race near Princeton, Minnesota. He finished the race 74th in the men’s division.

Back before there were more gravel events that you knew what to do with, there was Cheesehead Roubaix.

The 65-mile ride used a new route this year. Emily Marenger, Ava Paruleski, Julie Phelps, and Nate Phelps, all finished the event.

WORS #1 (Eau Claire)

EAU CLAIRE, WISC. – The WORS mountain bike series kicked off it’s 2026 season with a return to racing in Eau Claire, a city that has been off the schedule for several seasons.

Derek Moran rode to a 4th-place age group finish in the Sport division. Mark Schindel was 5th in his group, also in the sport division.

ST. PETERS, MISSOURI – Why just ride when you can run and swim too?

Kensa Koeppen rolled (well, ran), into an age group win at this event Sunday.

Battle on the Border

KENOSHA, WISC. – The 2026 WCA road season kicked off with a tight and fast half-mile crit course in Kenosha.

On the women’s side, Emily Marenger made her crit racing debut with a 10th-place finish in the Women’s Cat. 4/5 race. Tracy Peters kicked off her season with a win in the Women’s 35+ Cat. 1/2/3/4 race.

Nate Phelps finished 8th in the men’s Masters 35+ 4/5 race. Archer Munson took 41st in the Cat. 4/5 race followed by Nate Phelps in 43rd.

Archer Munson rounded out his day with a 44th-place finish in the Cat. 3/4 race.

Rough Road 100

MORRIS, ILL – What’s become one of the team’s traditional season kickoff event, this year’s Rough Road 100 went off in some of the best conditions of its 10 year history.

On the women’s side: Julie Phelps scored a 4th-place finish in the USAC Masters 35+ race. Mary Kremer took 20th in the USAC Women’s Open race followed by Ava Paruleski in 26th and Emily Marenger in 27th. Sharon Bauch over came a late-race crash to finish 312th in the 100K Open race. Jaime LeCapitaine completed the 64K race.

In the men’s races: Nate Phelps finished 52nd in the USAC Masters 35+ race. In the Open 100K race, Joseph McCrary was 156th followed by Mark Schindel in 208th, and Matt Hall in 245th.

March

Alabama Masters Games

MOBILE, AL. – Brian Kult kicked off the team’s 2026 road season with a podium finish in the 20K road race at the Alabama Masters Games March 14.

He finshed 3rd in his race.

Dirty South Roubaix

ALTO PASS, ILL – Eight inches of rain in the week leading up to the Dirty South Roubaix created some interesting challenges — and big ruts and erosion – on the gravel roads of this event.

Derek Moran finished his annual kick off to the season with a 51st-place finish in the 61-mile race in southern Illinois on March 7.

Sweaty Yeti

NEILSVILLE, WISC. – There’s no guarantee in March that you’re going to be racing a fat bike on snow. Sometimes it’s mud.

Nelsen Wahlstrom teamed up with Caleb Bush to score the overall win in the men’s two-man team division at the snow-free Sweaty Yeti Fatbike Race in Neilsville, Wisc., Saturday.

U.S. Fat Bike Open

BRILLIION, WISC. – The final stop of the 2026 Snow Crown Series saw races roll on the groomed trails of the Ariens Nordic Center in Brillion, Wisconsin, on Feb. 7.

Jaime LeCapatine rode to a 5th-place finish in the women’s beginner race.

January

Fat Camp

SUAMICO, WISC. – Five degrees below zero. Remember that when we’re racing in July.

Jaime LeCapitaine dressed just right for the conditions at the Fat Camp fat bike race at the Reforestation Camp near Green Bay Jan. 24. She finished 6th overall in the Women’s Beginners division.

This was the second event in the Snow Crown series of races.

Fatty Shack

LEDGEVIEW, WISC. – The 2026 racing season kicked off the Fatty Shack fat bike near Green Bay. It’s the first event in the Snow Crown series of fat bike races.

Jaime LeCapitaine finished 6th in Women’s Beginners division while Archer Munson was 32nd in the Men’s Intermediate race.
