August was a pretty good month for the team with riders picking up strong results on the road and dirt. Aside from the results sheet, It was a month that created a lot of memories and saw a number of new riders added to the roster.
With the road season effectively over (minus a few events this week), the focus will turn to cyclocross and a regular dirt of late-season gravel and mountain bike races.

It was a pretty big month for the team with a pair of riders scoring Wisconsin TT State Champion titles, a 460-some-mile solo race, as well as picking a solo win in the 12-hour race at Wausau 24.

That was quite a month for Gryphon Velo Racing.
Riders were active in all the summer racing disciplines and on all terrain (including the track).

It was a warm, windy, day for GVR riders at USA Cycling’s 2026 Masters National Time Trial near Madison.
Team riders put up strong results with Julie Phelps and Sally Lester brining home podium finishes.

For the past 18 years the Tour of America’s Dairyland has been a staple on the Wisconsin — and national — racing calendar.
Through the first half of the 11-day event, GVR riders have made the rounds (literally) in the races.

From mountain bike and gravel races to a 12-hour endurance road bike race, it was a busy month for GVR riders in events around the Midwest.
It also saw our ranks for crit and time trial racers grow over the past four weeks.

April saw the start of the road racing season in the upper Midwest, both on gravel and tarmac. More to come in May as the WORS series and other mountain bike racing gets underway.

After getting spoiled with a few milder winters, this one felt more like a Wisconsin winter — including a March blizzard that dropped more than two feet of snow in our primary riding areas.

Twelve months feels like both a long time and the blink of an eye when you look back on it.
GVR riders had a fantastic season that saw a lot of miles, events, and laughs packed in into 2025.
Riders brought home four Wisconsin state champions, a Masters National TT podium for women, overall wins and leaders jerseys at the La Crosse Omnium and the Tour of America’s Dairyland. That’s in addition to numerous personal goals and wins and podiums in races throughout the Midwest and other parts of the country.
