With the final few mountain bike and road races looming, thoughts are turning to the cyclocross season — including running drills! While part of the team practiced for the upcoming season, others were out racing the last WORS race of the season and Race The Lake.

Cross of the North returns to Wausau on Sept. 16 with a few new features including a slightly shorter course (that still includes sand and a runup), a DJ and, of course, furious cyclocross racing.
The three-year-old race is at Sunny Vale Park on the west side of the Wausau, the only Wisconsin Cycling Association CX race in central Wisconsin (and one of five outside of the Madison and Milwaukee markets). Cross of the north is one of the races that makes up the Hinterlands sub-series of cross races.
Pre-register for Cross of the North by Sept. 12 and save yourself $10 on registration ($25). Day-of-registration ($35) is available onsite.

It was all dirt this weekend with team riders putting up almost 390 (combined) miles of gravel at two Midwest events and others getting plenty of dust and sand on their mountain bikes.

Big miles were the name of the game this last weekend as six members of the team rode 175 across Wisconsin (from Dubuque to Kenosha) and a trio of riders took on 46-miles of dusty and dirty trails near Marquette, Michigan, as part of the Ore To Shore mountain bike race.

The 2019-2020 season is drawing near, and the team is busy squaring away it’s partnerships and an updated look for uniforms.
In other words: exciting times.

A very busy July wrapped with a number of race wins and podiums at the Wausau 24 (hour) mountain bike race in central Wisconsin, the Red Earth Classic in the UP of Michigan, and the Mellen Road Race in northwestern Wisconsin.
