Bro, do you even cyclocross? Fun start to the 2016 WCA ‘cross season with some rain, mud and off camber sections. We also had riders working on the late stages of the WORS season and some of the final road racing of the season.

GVR riders had both ends of the state covered this weekend between a 178-mile road ride across southern Wisconsin and an endurance mountain bike race in northern Wisconsin.

The weekend’s racing — including some preseason ‘cross-like competition — centered on the dirt at the Reforestation Camp near Green Bay Saturday and Sunday.

Wisconsin Cycling Association cyclocross is coming to north central at Sunny Vale Park in Wausau on Sept. 11.

The event – which combines elements of road and mountain biking with running — is a collaboration of Red Eye Brewing Co., Gryphon Velo Racing and Casey Hildebrandt of The Underground Project.
