A mild winter created a most unusual start to the 2024 season. There was plenty of road riding through the dark days of the season, and more than one fat bike race looked more like a mountain bike race.
In the past few weeks the road racing season has picked up steam with riders picking up some nice results in Missouri, Indiana and Illinois.
It takes a lot of work and help from many people and businesses to make Gryphon Velo Racing successful.
As we start a new season with a new kit design, we thrilled to have many returning business partners for the next three years as well as some new businesses who have come on board.
Please help us support the businesses who who support the team.
The team did a lot of racing this year with more than 500 race starts over the past 12 months. That doesn’t count the miles of rides and clinics we offered over the course of the year. We’re already looking forward to the 2024 season and helping a couple of new faces on the roster find their way into racing in a number of different disciplines.
We’re thankful for all the businesses who supported us in 2024 (many of which have been with us since — or before — our inception in 2015). We look forward to continuing to represent and support those businesses in the new year.
Here’s a look back at December and short pictorial roundup of the 2023 campaign.
With the 2023 season wrapped up (and what a season it was), here’s a rough (but fairly accurate) look at a few of the team numbers over the past 12 months of racing.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you on the pavement, dirt and gravel in 2024!

Poor weather largely held off in November as GVR riders finished up both the Wisconsin and Minnesota cyclocross series with some strong race and series results.
There are just a handful of races left in the year in December. Then we start all over again.
It was a hard-charging month that saw a lot of our riders out racing the past month.
One of the highlights of the month was the mudfest that was Trek Cup. One of the biggest ‘cross races on the domestic and international schedule saw all of our ‘cross regulars out racing. A few even landed on the podium throughout the rain three-day weekend.
The road racing held on as long as it could in early September, but it eventually ran out of gas.
GVR riders returned to the dirt and grass in full force as the Wisconsin cyclocross season got underway early in the month. Mountain bike and track racing also held strong through September.
