For all practical purposes, the 2017 cyclocross season ended for GVR riders Saturday in at the Midwest Regional Cyclocross Championship near Madison, Wisc. in appropriately snowy conditions.

We thank OSI for their support and look forward to working with them (hopefully not with broken bones!) in coming seasons.
Eleven months ago we started filming for a documentary chronicling a full season in the lives of grassroots amateur racers in the United States focused on our riders. Here’s the end result of that project, Season In The Saddle.
Clearly we weren’t able to record all the events that happened over the course of the last 12 months, but this is a pretty good collection of snapshots of what this team, and thousands of other amateur teams, go through every year.
A few technical notes: limitations on editing software mean compromises had to be made in how some of the video and interviews are presented. It still works, it just doesn’t full fit the vision of the producer. Also, due to some technical limitations, the vocal soundtrack is a little off sync in the last part of the video.
Anyway, here’s what a Season In The Saddle with Gryphon Velo Racing looks like.
No one went home clean from the Sunnyview Cross in Oshkosh Saturday, but there’s a consensus its a great course and a fun event to start winding down the 2017 season (it’s not over, just yet).

Its was a good weekend to earn hardperson points in the mud and rain of cyclocross in Milwaukee Saturday and the slightly muddy roads and overcast conditions for what was likely the last big team road ride of 2017.
It was a mud-free weekend of cross racing at a pair of races in Sun Prairie, Wisc., while a duo of riders also tackled the hills of the Fox Valley in the second annual Fox Cities Dirty Dozen Ride.
Sunday lived up to its name in Kimberly, Wisc., for the inaugural Diablo River Cross that saw a several GVR riders snag some podiums (and gummy worm hand-ups).
