Cross of the North returns to Wausau on Sept. 16 with a few new features including a slightly shorter course (that still includes sand and a runup), a DJ and, of course, furious cyclocross racing.
The three-year-old race is at Sunny Vale Park on the west side of the Wausau, the only Wisconsin Cycling Association CX race in central Wisconsin (and one of five outside of the Madison and Milwaukee markets). Cross of the north is one of the races that makes up the Hinterlands sub-series of cross races.
Pre-register for Cross of the North by Sept. 12 and save yourself $10 on registration ($25). Day-of-registration ($35) is available onsite.
You can register for the event here.
It was all dirt this weekend with team riders putting up almost 390 (combined) miles of gravel at two Midwest events and others getting plenty of dust and sand on their mountain bikes.
